Organisational Change
Do you need to change?
Organisations are collections of people, using products, knowledge, equipment, all working toward a collective goal. Organisations are social arrangements: they require motivation, they have personality and cultures, they are a living entity. They are also very complex, made up of individuals and groups that may have their own drives, motives etc, but ultimately, to maximise collective performance, they must be managed and organised and aligned toward the common goal.
Organisations must also evolve and adapt to match the changing demands of the work they do.
What do we do?
We provide a Human Factors led approach to looking at how organisations change and adapt. This provides a slightly different angle from the usual management consultancy approach. It is very focused on the individual and the teams within the business, their behaviours and the relationships.
We use techniques such as:
- Task analysis;
- Social network analysis;
- Link analysis;
- Surveys;
- Questionnaires; and
- Focus groups.
We look at the impact of the structure of the organisation, how technology is going to impact the work, how the strategy of the organisation requires new ways of working and organising and how communication links the different elements of the business together.
The approaches we take mean that change is managed in a structured way, it is aligned with the business strategy and resistence to change is broken down by the engagement and input of the staff to the process.
These methods allow us to develop a detailed understanding and picture of the organisational requirements of your organisation, and enable us to work with you to develop a plan and implement the changes necessary to keep your people moving your business forwards.
